Character Creation Rules
1. You can only make one character per account at the start. Over time, you will be allowed to make another upon request.
2. Not every character should be an established Trainer with a whole Party of Pokémon. The fun should be in the journey with your Starter Pokémon and having your team slowly grow.
3. Your character must be from a canon region, island or location within the Pokémon world. They cannot be from a fanon/fan fictional location and they cannot from any other locations within the Nintendo-verse or otherwise (e.g. Hyrule or Digital World)
4. Your “Face Claim”, if you choose to use one, cannot be of an established Pokémon character. It can be any fictional character, actor, live-action character, etc. that you may want to choose. But remember, a “Face Claim” is just a facial appearance; you cannot role-play as that character or actor. If you want to use a fan art, you must be the author of said art.
5. You cannot be immortal, ageless or live beyond human life span. Be reasonable with how old your character is.
6. You can own weapons such as firearms or swords in your inventory. But, of course, since you cannot shoot to kill another character or their Pokémon without the member’s consent, it would most likely be more of a cosmetic touch. No mecha vehicles or war machine à la the anime villains.
7. Since special abilities in humans have been seen in humans through Pokémon media and have all been mental abilities such as Sabrina’s psychic powers, Yellow’s empathy/psychic healing and Rui’s aura reading; once in a while and upon request a human character will be allowed to possess some gift. But only a second or third character they create as a perk for being dedicated to and skilled in the role-play.
8. Be aware that these rules may be changed, altered or expanded upon as time goes on.
Pokémon Rules
1. Regardless if you are a “Trainer”, a “Professor”, a “Pokémon Ranger” or any other type of class/profession you may only have six Pokémon on hand at any given time. This is so someone who is role-playing as a Trainer cannot be overrun with the Pokémon of someone who isn’t as restriction such as a Rancher or a Professor. Six on hand and as many off-hand; they can be switched out in the role-play but be sure to keep the biography list of Pokémon on hand updated.
2. Pokémon are characters too. Whether you are role-playing as one (see 3.) or having them as your Party, they have personalities and shouldn't simply be used as super-powered tools. They are a key part of the characterization of the Trainer and of the role-play story as a whole.
3. Because Pokémon are characters, they cannot be killed or manipulated by another member without player consent. If a Pokémon is traded, loaned, or is otherwise placed in the hands of other trainer (with out of character consent) then it can be manipulated by that trainer.
4. Once in a while as a perk for loyal members, they will have the chance to role-play as a Pokémon for their secondary character. Like human characters, these Pokémon cannot be killed without consent. Also, they cannot be captured without the consent of the member playing as them – and if they are captured, they are still characters acting independently from their Trainer.
5. This role-play will have an anime-style approach to the Legendary Pokémon. They will be viewed as powerful, revered forces of nature with great cultural significance. They will not be available to be captured (but a character can still hold doing that as a goal) early on but this may change as the role-play grows and the story moves down the line.
6. “Shiny”, alternate colored, different sized, Shadow Pokémon, Holon region Pokémon or other special Pokémon are available upon request. The first batch of members will be able to have one as a perk but later it will become more of a specialty. The right to encounter and catch one later will be decided via contest unless staff allows one as a Starter Pokémon.
7. Be aware that these rules may be changed, altered or expanded upon as time goes on.
